The scope of the Medical Aesthetics field is widening day by day with many doctors opening Medical Spas and more beauty clinics offering non-invasive and low-risk cosmetic procedures. Students enrolled in this program gain hands-on experience with advanced machines and graduate to become a licensed Medical Aesthetician. 

Admission Requirements 

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Mature Student Status
  • Successful completion of entrance test

Program Courses 

Health & Safety: Infection prevention and control, industry regulations, occupational health and safety 

Skin Care: Anatomy and physiology of skin, basic chemistry about cosmetic ingredients. Treatments for different skin problems such as aging skin, acne. 

Nail Care: Anatomy and physiology of hands and feet and associated diseases and disorders. Basic manicure and pedicure with paraffin treatments. 

Waxing: Client consultation. Waxing procedures of all body parts with appropriate hygiene and safety. 

Make-up Artistry: Professional make-up for various occasions, age and skin colours. 

Body Care: Learn about the body systems, various body treatments such as wraps, scrubs, massages and essential oils. 

Electrolysis: Studies of trichology, electrolysis and stretch techniques along with proper disposal of hazardous material and safety precautions. 

Microdermabrasion: Learn effective procedures using microdermabrasion. 

Laser: Hair analysis, skin typing, laser hair removal treatment, reduction of vascular lessons, pigmentation reduction, laser skin rejuvenation, laser skin tag removal, acne laser treatments.
